TurfMasters of Augusta services the Augusta area with weed control and fertilizer for Bermuda, Centipede, St Augustine, and Zoysia lawns.
TurfMasters of Augusta LLC was established in 2003, as TurfMasters Lawncare LLC, by Anthony Grinnell and two partners. Their goal was to become the premier chemical treatment service in the Augusta, GA area. We were founded on the principles of providing a service that is technically superior, and customer friendly. Locally owned and operated, we offer that “small town” personal attention that you just can’t find anywhere else.
In 2008 the company was divided into three smaller businesses. The Augusta location became TurfMasters of Augusta LLC owned and operated by Anthony Grinnell. The principles that we were founded on remain the same. To date, TurfMasters of Augusta LLC provides fertilization and weed control services to businesses and residences throughout the Augusta, GA area. The properties that we serve look the best of any in the area.
We minimize overhead by driving regular trucks. We don’t spend a lot of money on advertising. We put that money toward superior products, training, and savings that we pass along to you, our customer. The end result is a better product, better delivery of service, at a better price. JAN: A blanket application of pre-emergent control targeting crabgrass will be applied along with broadleaf weed control and a root enhancing fertilizer.
FEB: A second application of pre-emergent for continued crabgrass control along with broadleaf weed control and fertilizer.
MAR: The third application of pre-emergent for further crabgrass control along with broadleaf weed control.
APR: An early treatment customized to your lawn’s needs which may include fertilizer, broadleaf weed control, iron, insecticide, and fungicide.
MAY: A follow-up treatment customized to your lawn’s needs with an emphasis on fertility and localized weed control.
JUN: A midsummer treatment customized to your lawn’s needs which may include fertilizer, broadleaf weed control, iron, insecticide, and fungicide.
JUL: Continued fertilization to maintain a deep, dark green plus weed control targeting summer nuisance weeds such as nutsedge.
AUG: A late summer fertilizer will be applied with broadleaf weed control as needed.
SEP: A final fertilizer will be applied to ensure strong green up as fall approaches.
OCT: A fall application of root strengthening fertilizer, pre-emergent weed control, and broadleaf weed control.
NOV: A lime application will be applied to maintain a favorable soil PH.
DEC: A winterization treatment to maintain your lawn’s health by strengthening roots and treating weeds as needed.
Note: Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) are highly recommended on Bermuda lawns. They cut needed mowing in half and result in a deeper, darker green. Four applications are needed annually. Applications start May 1 and continue every 4 – 6 weeks throughout the summer.
